CONCERT

Beirut

Written 30 January

Tuesday 12 May, 20:00
Bataclan, 75011 [map]
Beirut, Mina Tindle

Bataclan plays host to Zach Condon's band of wondering multi-traditional folk explorers. Beirut have strong ties to our city - Condon first discovered the Balkan styles which would go on to inspire the band's first album "Gulag Orkester" whilst staying in Paris.

Perhaps more obvious are the links forged by second album "The Flying Club Cup" which, whilst retaining the core style of the first album, draws heavily on chanson, Brel, Gainsbourg, Montand, and all the regulars.
