Bassless rock three-piece
Papier Tigre have been hard at work since their eponymous debut in 2007, touring widely and working on what has become their latest album, "The Beginning and End of Now" - the perfect document of the band's rapid-fire approach to rock music. The lack of bass makes for a thrashy DIY sound, but the competence of Pasquereau and de la Grandiere's playing pushes the feel towards
Battles territory, the snappy and concise themes being hammered home with formidable accuracy.
Providing solid support will be Montpellier's
Marvin, a drums/guitar/synth power trio with psych/kraut leanings; and out-there noisy boys
Classic Dracula V.
