Exhibition from Jérôme Molard (or Jey), graphic artist and one of the members of the arrière boutique. Molard’s inspirations are multiple and multicultural. Tribal masks from all over, including those from the Incas to African and Polynesian masks have influenced his style. According to him “the human being is often led to wear a mask, a panoply of protection and seduction when faced with life’s meetings and encounters”. His designs are rarely prepared in advance as he prefers to allow himself to be guided by his subconscious whilst at the same time trying to find a certain balance in the composition. His creations don’t carry any particular message and are often confused; faithful to his perception of the world: “those who think they have understood everything can be sure to be wrong”.
