Jean-Luc Moulène monumentalises the unimportant. His work considers photography as an instrument to depict and analyze natural and cultural phenomena and the way the latter evolve under the influence of industrial, media and commercial developments. Moulène radically transforms objects by almost abstracting and alienating them, using the visual codes of advertising and photography.
