Lars von Trier, Danish filmmaker, owes his international reputation to his prize-winning film Breaking The Waves at the Cannes film festival in 1996 and the beautiful and tragic Dancer In The Dark in 2000. His work is provocative and passionate and this is an opportunity to see a retrospective of his films. On 8th June Lars von Trier will broadcast live direct from Copenhagen, in conversation with Pascal Mérigeau from the Nouvel Observateur. The discussion will be followed by a projection of new short films by a young von Trier during his studies at the Danish school of cinema.
