Taki-Umeoka

Mariko Taki-Umeoka lives in Spain, the country she has lived in and made a home and career as a painter since 1988. After having produced extraordinary copies of masterpieces from the Prado museum (Bosch, Goya, Vélasquez…) for many years, she has eventually moved on to painting her own original works. Mastering perfectly the western pictorial techniques, she has also managed to not confine herself to the European influence and brings to her work a Japanese sensibility.
