Hikari, shôzô

Hikari, shozô is very freely inspired by Dit du Genji, a masterpiece of medieval Japanese literature. With music from Schubert, Arvo Pärt and nô, the show is illuminated by the presence of Hana Sakai who is one of the greatest Japanese ballerinas. Reijiro Tsumura and Yûki Mori have choreographed this piece to bring together a work that transcends the barriers between traditional Japanese culture, western culture and avant-garde.
