Philippe Parreno

Film-maker, sculptor, storyteller and producer, this multi-talented artist’s work primarily revolves around the interrogation of the nature of an image, as well as the modes of its exhibition. He frequently draws on pre-existing material and then enriches it with his own, mostly narrative, ideas. This new presentation of work by Philippe Parreno constitutes a major chapter in the life of the artist’s work with parallel exhibitions taking place at the Kunsthalle in Zurich, the Museum of Modern Art in Dublin et Bard College in New York.

Continuing his reflection on the exhibition medium, Parreno uses the 1200 square metres of space in the Galerie Sud as a sensitive surface in constant change, offering us a voyage in time composed of work and events as yet unseen.
