Images du Monde Flottant

Written 30 January

Wednesday 03 June, 19:00
Centre Pompidou, 75004 [map]

A selection of films linking the birth of experimental cinema at the start of the 1920s to that of scientific and avant garde cinema in the first two decades of the 20th century. The majority of these anonymous films highlight the formal, textural and compositional problems that history of modern and contemporary art allows us to recognise today. The films have been restored by the French film archive
