A beautiful day out, this one. Pack your picnic, easy on the Rosé, don't forget the sunscreen and prepare for some seriously blissed out park-based jazz listening.
There are some jazz gems on the lineup, too. Today sees an appearance by Dutch pianist
Diederik Wissels, whose career has featured performances with
Chet Baker,
Joe Henderson and
Toots Thielemans amongst others; and the Belgian polyrhythmic jazz ensemble
Octurn, a shifting lineup of forward thinking musicians, always featuring at least three sax players, and nowadays two bassists and two drummers... this is complex jazz that respects the traditions of improvised music, while stretching its boundaries.
