As part of the new programme Électrons libres, Mauro Lanza, combining sound and visual matter, is equipped with a technological device allowing him to directly link musical structure to the film structure, integrating image data electronically in real time. Miscellaneous mix of historical reconstitutions and crazily imaginative sequences, the film Häxan is at the same time a documentary style quest into XVth century ideology and a satirical view of obscurantism and superstitions in an aesthetic close to that of
Goya and Rodolphe Bresdin.
