Although the exhibition at L'Espace Krajcberg is dedicated to 30 years of integral naturalism and the environment, the photographic exhibition « Deplacement » proposes a look at society in the era of generalised mobility.
Theories written over the centuries linked to displacement and movement feed often from what has also been written about walking. Far from limiting yourself to a physical activity, walking is above all a practice which allows the individual to think about her place in relation to other and their place in the universe. Some trips more than others allow this relationship to develop with the surrounding environment.
All of the photos in the series look at movement and change in society as well as literal physical movement. From « Temps de pause » (Gao Xin WEI) which takes a look at the short moments taken on park benches between journeys to Zhu Jion’s photographic exploration into the mental place we find ourselves in at the end of a journey, a concrete Peking, a walking China and an exploration into the final stages of a life journey in the series in Le Dernier Voyage by Jin Xiang Yi, all make for an interesting and comprehensive exploration into displacement and the journey. Wed 10th December at 18:30 - talk on integral naturalism.
