A welcome visit from the
LCD Soundsystem frontman and co-founder of dance-punk label
DFA Records. Murphy kicked his DJ career off under the name Death from Above in 1993, but it wasn't until 1999 that he formed DFA with
Tim Goldsworthy (formerly of
UNKLE). Since then the success of LCD Soundsystem, combined with a
Fabriclive CD and the unstoppable spread of DFA worldwide, has firmly etched his name into pop culture.
Mr Murphy is joined this evening by I'm A Cliché label boss
Cosmo Vitelli.
