Piers Faccini began his music career in London in the band
Charley Marlowe, which he fronted alongside the poet
Francesca Beard. In 2001, the band ended and Piers started solo work - mostly acoustic, folky but rhythmic.
Multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Darvill, aka
Son Of Dave, is probably best known for his part in the Canadian band
Crash Test Dummies. Don't let that mislead you about his solo project though - Son Of Dave is a rootsy, harmonica/electronica project with some innovative twists. Darvill loops up raw bluesy loops to form hypnotic and funky grooves, blending the sun drenched soul of the deep south with modern hip hop.
