A very welcome visit from the Grammy award winning country music singer and songwriter
Lucinda Williams.
Williams' first recordings, traditional country and blues affairs made in 1978 and 1980, received very little attention from radio, the media, or the public. This all changed, albeit slowly, over the next two decades culminating in her 1998 album "Car Wheels On A Gravel Road", critically acclaimed as one of the highlights of the country fusion catalogue and a record which earnt her the lofty title of "America's best songwriter" (
Time magazine, 2002).
