Quirkiness abounds at this three-act parade of lo-fi pop, toy-orchestra noodling and slightly unhinged folk-pop.
Jerri's complex stylistic approach is underpinned by the incredible simplicity and directness of the music - hip hop, electropop and kraut rock are deftly blended with minimal instrumentation and a no nonsense attitude.
Next up: the melancholic, melodic and sometimes slightly disturbed folk pop of
Mina Tindle, aka Pauline, vocal collaborator in
Toy Fight and
The Limes amongst others.
Finally, we have the Parisian duo
This Is The Hello Monster! We say duo, but one member is actually an imaginary dinosaur. Anyway, the blend of lo-fi machine performance with piano, ukelele, flute and vocals creates a fresh, emotional and cinematic soundscape.
