Maguy Marin - May B

Written 30 January

Thursday 06 August, 22:00
Palais Royal, 75001 [map]
Maguy Marin

A gripping and now legendary show that has been performed many times on stages worldwide: Maguy Marin’s May B is a must see.

A strange show that has both amused and frightened people. May B is a creation inspired by Samuel Beckett; the disturbing figures waiting for something they can’t quite remember… The piece will be performed in the court of the Palais Royal over three nights only so don’t miss it.

Former pupil of Maurice Bejart, choreographer Maguy Marin won the Bagnolet award in 1978 and started her own company. With around forty shows under her belt she has been director at le Centre Chorégraphique National à Rillieux-la-Pape since 1998. In 2008 she received the Bessie Award in New York for her piece Umwelt, performed at the Joyce Theater.
