Not strictly a local event, but definitely a bon plan to consider for this week. Favela Chic has teamed up with the
Big Chill and
Eurostar to offer this discounted trip to one of the best festivals around this summer. Favela Chic London has been carrying out the work of its local cousin on the other side of the water for a while now, and this cross-channel hookup is the latest in a series of such events.
Kicking off on Wednesday, there's a specially chartered Eurostar car headed UK-wise, arriving in London in time for a pre-festival warm-up party at Favela Chic. Back on the train on Thursday, and heading out to the beautiful Herefordshire countryside for the Big Chill Festival. The line-up is pretty good this year -

Lindstrom and literally dozens of others - and the forecast is looking pretty sweet, too. Then it's back on the train for the homeward trip on Monday. Total cost: 236 euros. Not bad.
