Batofar's weekly world electro tour continues with the appearance of one of the most exciting bands from its genre, Balkan Beat Box. Founded by ex-
Gogol Bordello member Ori Kaplan and Tamir Muskat (previously of
Firewater/
Big Lazy) at the start of this decade, the bands current live crew is seven-strong and their sound - a powerful fusion of traditional Balkan music and hip hop/dancehall - is hard hitting and infectious.
Also up tonight will be African music authority Mr Toubabe and the
G-Swing DJ collective.
