Afrika Bambaataa is in the house. Bambaataa began his mission in the 70's, rallying gang members into musical and cultural projects. The resulting network of politically aware rappers, musicians, street artists B-boys became known as the
Universal Zulu Nation, and Bambaataa moved on to organising block parties, and eventually exporting hip hop to Europe and beyond.
