Bambaata, Solo, Debruit

The place to be for all hip hop fans is right here, right now: South Bronx DJ, driving force behind the development of black music in the 80's, godfather of the hip hop genre and widely acknowledged creator of the Electro Funk sound Afrika Bambaataa is in the house. Bambaataa began his mission in the 70's, rallying gang members into musical and cultural projects. The resulting network of politically aware rappers, musicians, street artists B-boys became known as the Universal Zulu Nation, and Bambaataa moved on to organising block parties, and eventually exporting hip hop to Europe and beyond.

The support bands are no less exciting: DJ Solo never fails to impress with his arsenal of skills, and glitchy beatmaker Debruit is pushing hip hop forward at an astounding pace right now.
