Final Fantasy is the solo project of Owen Pallett: a singer, violinist, composer and arranger with plenty of strings to his bow and credits under his belt. He regularly tours and records with the
Arcade Fire, and is credited with co-writing the orchestral arrangements on their albums. His solo project introduces electronic elements into the mix, often by sampling and looping string phrases live.
Bolstering the bill this evening are two equally attractive prospects - the psych/kraut/art rock of Brooklyn based three piece
Oneida and the experimental electroacoustic energy of
ATP Recordings artist
Alexander Tucker, best known for his solo projects on that label and his work with
Stephen O’Malley (of
Sunn 0))) and
KTL fame).
