One of Italy's most talented jazz pianists pays a visit. The son of a jazz drummer,
Antonio Faraò grew up listening to Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Sinatra before going on to study piano at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory, where he took on new influences including
Oscar Peterson,
Keith Jarret and
Bill Evans - influences which remain evident in his playing today. As
Herbie Hancock said: "Antonio is not only a fine pianist, but a great one."
