The third year of the Festival des Ideo proposes a discovery of visual and sonic arts. Cinematic concerts, improv theatre, workshops and digital arts will be on the programme for the next three weeks.
« Utopia fait son cinéma » is a mix of eclectic and electronic music, and cartoons and dialogues of films proposed by
Véronique Hubert and set to music by
Wakal. All of it mixed directly during a video edit, with musical comedies, contemporary choreography, cinematographic intrigues and contemporary video artists.
Mexico born Wakal produces electronic music, and spent the first part of his musical career in rock until 1998. Later on he published his first album “Pop street sound” on the label Discos Konfort, (2001) mixing field recordings of street noise, voices and chaos from Mexico mixed with dancefloor/electro/rock rhythms. In 2006, with more experimental cinematic music, Wakal released his second album "Desvia Si On Again". His new album is more Pop/Folk with electro and hip hop influences.
