John Zorn. Tonight he presents one of the most progressive of his explorations into radical Jewish culture and heritage, "
Shir Hashirim". Played out by the actors Clotilde Hesme and Mathieu Amalric (who replace the original cast of Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson), the work brings the eroticism of the original text to life in a modern setting, weaving complex but natural fabrics of vocal texture. Not to be missed.
