Hiroshi Hasegawa has carried out huge tracts of work in the experimental electronica field, whether as Astromero, Senssurround Orchestra or indeed under his current solo guise as Astro. Probably his best know project, Hasegawa formed C.C.C.C. in 1990, and the group went on to become Japan's most successful noise outfits. Over the last fifty or so releases of his career, Hasegawa has collaborated with practically every name on the Japanese noise scene - Damo Suzuki, KK Null, Keiji Haino, Reiko.A... the list goes on.

Astro sees Hiroshi Hasegawa turning to analogue synths for his sources, and the result is abstract, detailed and often fairly extreme sonic sculpture.
