Ron Arad, British designer and architect, creator of such pieces as Bookworm (1993) and the Tom Vac chair (1997), works freely between the fields of design, architecture and plastic art forms. Arad has said of himself that he has no fixed discipline.

Born in Tel Aviv, he studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Art and the Architectural Association school of London where he went on to produce a diversity of sinusoidal, elliptical and ovoid creations; unique pieces of work and industrially produced work. This retrospective of his work includes major pieces; prototypes accompanied with audiovisuals, limited editions and industrially produced designs as well as his numerous architectural projects.
