Peter Eötvös conducts two concert that explore the broad spectrum of compositions by
Edgar Varèse including Hyperprism for wind and percussion (1922–1923), Octandre for seven wind instruments and double bass (1923), Intégrales for wind and percussion (1924–1925) and the orchestral work Amériques (1918–1921; revised 1927).
The performance rests in the very capable hands of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Ensemble Asko I Schönberg and the acclaimed soprano
Anu Komsi.
