A 14 night event dedicated to visual arts. Walls, floors, glass structures and facades in the nave of the Grand Palais will be decorated with a collection of visual and digital art works, including film, interactive installations, and projections from all over the world. New technology plays a large part in this exhibition which includes existing work by such names as
Bill Viola (pioneer of video as a vital form of contemporary art) and Bob Wilson, as well as newly commissioned work.
NOTE!
For the opening evening of "Dans la nuit, des images" DJ and producer
Jeff Mills will be presenting a piece entitled "The Trip" which will be accompanied by a revised soundtrack of Fritz Lang's 1927 film "Metropolis". The event will be based on a first come, first served basis from 20h30.
