Zach Hill has played in a host of decent bands of the years (
Holy Smokes,
Hella,
The Ladies,
Team Sleep...) and his characteristic drumming style is evident on all his projects. Experimental use of his cymbals (broken cymbals stacked up on top of each other, warped custom made cymbals) and complex time signature playing bring a weird edge to his music.
Also of note on the bill tonight is Parisian sound artist
Erik Minkkinen. Man behind the "Le Placard" festival and Deco label, he also plays with post-rockers
