Michael Kenna on New York. Kenna photographed New York for numerous years to produce this great series of work. The landscape and architecture are the two themes of choice for Kenna in a city more proportional to canyons and mountainous landscapes. In choosing the theme of New York Kenna follows in the footsteps of such great masters as
Kertész and
Stieglitz without affecting his original take on this much photographed city. Born in England, Kenna currently lives in America.
