On the one hand we have Instants Chavirés teetering on the brink of collapse for want of funding, and on the other the Louvre gets a new famous face to line up next to La Gioconda in the form of the Hamburglar... yes, it seems even national treasures are not safe from big-chain burger invasion.

Still, some great stuff out there this week. Tony Allen is in town, The xx are here to show us what the hype's about, Joakim launches his new album, Point Ephémère celebrates five years in style, Francesco Clemente and Terence Koh show their work at Thaddaeus Ropac and Jean-Luc Blanc presents a retrospective.
