Rising Stars

Welcome to The Parisian, your source for what's on this week, and this weekend, in Paris. Looking for clubs, gigs, art shows, exhibitions, film, dance and theatre in Paris? We sort through hundreds of events every week and bring you the cream of the crop.

Diversity rules this week - whether you want bone-shaking bass, funked up soul, moodly alt.folk, atmospheric soundscapes or envelope-pushing rock, it's all out there. There are big names gracing our stages (Fat Freddy's Drop, Lydia Lunch, Marva Whitney, Yo La Tengo) and new stars rising (Cymbals Eat Guitars, dDamage).

There's exciting stuff going on in the galleries, too: German artist Stephan Balkenhol presents his new sculptures, Jordan Wolfson's films play at the Centre Pompidou and Galerie Karsten Greve showcases the tense photography of Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin.

Many thanks to this week's sponsor, bombshop.
