So, here we all are. Back at work, champing at the bit, roaring into 2010 with gusto. Or maybe edging out from under the duvet, checking the barometer and sliding back under for another week. Either way, there's no excuse for cultural laziness this week - there's just too much going on.

Clubland is exploding into the new year, with appearances from Clark, Rusko, Dennis Ferrer, Reinhard Voigt and Prins Thomas amongst others. Live music gets no less energetic a start, with Iko curating a great evening at the Cité de la Musique, Fulgeance live at Batofar and Michael Wookey in concert.

The galleries are kicking off the new decade with some exciting stuff, too - Roger Ballen, Dario Escobar, Nicole Cohen, Michel Paysant, Niele Toroni, Charles Sandison... all great reasons to brave the admittedly frightening temperatures.
