Anyone lying on their back in the Bois de Vincennes this week would be forgiven for thinking post-apocalyptic thoughts - not a plane in the sky, no vapour trails, just deep, endless blue. Marvellous. If you're stuck in Paris and need something to do while you wait for the next flight, look no further. If you're stuck elsewhere, unable to get to these rather splendid events, you have our sympathy. Then again, the events on this week's list may or may not happen - watch out for those "cancelled" notices...

Some great gigs this week - Midlake, Caribou, Chicros, Ellie Goulding, Field Music... DJ sets too, with club pressure coming from Kenny Dope, Popof, Optimo, Pilooski and plenty more.
