Once again we're heavy on the live music side this week - not least because Monday sees the start of the Villette Sonique festival, which kicks off with appearances from Roy Harper and Joanna Newsom. Your sonic week is further bolstered by gigs from Micah P. Hinson, Metric, The Clean, White Rabbits and Cold Cave, as well as two very underground but very worthwhile events hosted by the French Toast collective (Friday) and Les Combustibles (Sunday).

Gallery-wise, Gotthard Graubner and Pierre Buraglio have exhibitions in town this week, and the legendary Flamenco dancer and choreographer Israel Galván is at the Théâtre de la Ville.
